Opening: Network Administrator JMB is seeking a Network Administrator with a combination of business, technical, and inter- personal skills to run our Local Area Network. The network is growing rapidly and expanding into a Wide Area Network, so the possibilities and challenges are outstanding. The Network Administrator is responsible for the daily operation of the network as well as stra- tegic planning. The administrator also works closely with development teams, the database ad- ministrator, and the PC installation and support groups. Develop procedures for network administration, including maintenance, backup, etc. 2. Install and maintain network operating systems on servers 3. Maintain and monitor network security 4. Maintain network operating systems on workstations 5. Maintain network configuration documentation 6. Install and maintain network hardware 7. Support network remote access 8. Create network offerings 9. Administer electronic mail system 10. Monitor and report on usage of network resources 11. When requested by hotline, work with users to solve network problems 12. Participate in developement teams that require network resources 13. Determine needs and develop plans for future network hardware and software 14. Train operations and PC repair staff to perform day-to-day network tasks Accountabilities: 1. Maintain and test backups to be able to restore to acceptable standards 2.
